Each recipient was awarded $800.00 US Dollars!




As we have very limited time to process applications and to make decisions on the student travel grant awards, please read this carefully and take the appropriate actions in time, and the application deadline is final with no extension at all.
 
a) The applicant must be a student member of the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc) at the time of application.
 
b) The applicant must be a co-author of an accepted paper in IEEE GLOBECOM 2014 (excluding workshop papers).
 
c) The applicant must be a full-time student registered towards a Bachelor, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering or related field in a college or university when submitting their applications, and must not receive funding for attending the conference from other sources.
 
d) During the expense reimbursement stage, the student must show the proof of having registered and attended the IEEE GLOBECOM 2014 conference.
 
e) Applicant may not receive more than one STG in any 12-month period.

How to apply?

 
a) The application should be submitted electronically via EDAS. After logging into EDAS, click the "Travel grants" tab at your EDAS home page, and then select "GC 14 Student Travel Grant."
 
b) The application must include the following materials:
 
   1) A reference letter from your advisor (your advisor can directly submit the reference letter on EDAS).
 
   2) Your up-to-date resume including your citizenship (required), and ethnicity and gender (optional, used to broaden the participation of under-represented students).
 
   3) A half-to-one page letter to state the purpose of attending the conference.
 
Application deadline:
September 1, 2014
Acceptance notification:
September 17, 2014
